Addressing a Critical Gap in Rescue Operations
FL-ARE was developed in response to real-world feedback from rescued persons: trapped victims could often hear rescuers, but rescuers could not hear them.
Compounding this issue, field feedback revealed that traditional headsets, though effective, were not always being used due to their bulk and inconvenience. This meant that the highly sensitive microphone built into the FL360 LR camera was being underutilized which could limit early detection opportunities. FL-ARE directly addresses these challenges, moving enhanced listening capability out of the headset and into the broader operational workflow.

Real-time acoustic monitoring
Monitor environmental audio directly through the FirstLook app, with a live visual representation of the sound in the space. Maintain situational awareness, headset or no headset
Clearer, louder output
Firmware and codec optimizations deliver approximately 10 dB more speaker output, offering clearer and louder audio in noisy environments.
Smart filtering
High-pass and low-pass filters isolate specific frequency ranges or sound signatures.
Set a custom noise baseline and adjust amplification to match conditions with simple, operator-friendly controls.
AI-powered voice detection
When enabled, FL-ARE continuously analyzes incoming audio for indicators of human speech, even when the app is minimized. Detect a voice, get a visual alert.
Flexible audio integration
Works with the wired headset included in FirstLook kits, with Bluetooth wireless headsets, and across multi-device observer configurations, including control devices without a headphone jack.
Designed to extend the operator
FL-ARE doesn't replace the TSS. It backs them up. Faint sounds that might otherwise go unnoticed get surfaced. Situational awareness holds even when a headset isn't practical. In chaotic environments where auditory cues are easily missed, FL-ARE adds a layer of assurance.
