ANDY IBBETSON
Chief Executive Officer / Co-Founder
Andy is the driving force and innovator behind FirstLook and its private label solutions division. For over 30 years he has been heavily involved in developing rescue and communication products for many global customers. His network, knowledge, experience and engaged leadership have allowed the company to expand quickly while at the same time maintaining an unwavering commitment to product quality and customer satisfaction. Andy feels a deep sense of responsibility to put the best equipment possible into the hands of those who put their lives on the line for others. FL360 and its associated mobile application is part of an overarching roadmap of products that will leverage new technologies and provide users the tools they need to adapt, improvise, and overcome. In his spare time Andy volunteers as a firefighter in Hemlock Valley B.C., Canada and enjoys exploring the backcountry on his side-by-side off-road vehicle.
MATT FIDDES
Chief Marketing Officer / Co-Founder
Matt is a results-driven sales and marketing professional with over 25 years of experience in the emergency services product market. As co-founder, marketing head and global sales lead, Matt is directly responsible for growing Agility’s signature product and brand, FirstLook around the world. Matt has held several sales and marketing roles throughout his career, but none has proven to be more challenging and exciting than building FirstLook.
ALAN JAKOBSEN
Sales Manager – North America
Experienced Outside Sales Management leader with a demonstrated history of building distribution and dealer networks worldwide. Alan brings to the team his skills in Sales, Account Management, Direct Sales, Product Marketing, and knowledge of Start-up positioning. With over 25 years of experience in the Fire Rescue and Construction markets, Alan’s professionalism and knowledge have helped many companies grow throughout his employment history.
KORNELIS KUIPER
Chief Operating Officer / Co-Founder
Kornelis Kuiper is COO at FirstLook. In charge of operations and finance, Kornelis makes sure team members and partners get paid on time, shipments go out, and customers receive quality service. He also ensures that engineering projects run smoothly. Born into a family-owned small business, he started and sold a successful campground, and started his own IT company. Thanks to his upbringing and previous experience as a business owner, Kornelis brings considerable expertise in the day-to-day operations of FirstLook. He believes in doing the right thing and foregoing shortcuts, “it is better to do it right or not to it at all.” Kornelis’ approach is direct and no-nonsense, as is to be expected from a Dutchman. He enjoys travelling with his wife and daughter, playing soccer and watching the occasional game. Jaz, Kornelis’ dog, is the official FirstLook mascot and joins him to the office every day.
AKSHAY BUDHIRAJA
Head Engineer
Akshay is the Head Engineer at FirstLook and spear heads the technological architectures that power the future of rescue products. His cross-domain knowledge in multiple engineering disciplines gives him the broader insight required to design, develop and bring to market the ambitious and challenging roadmap that lays ahead for FirstLook. A Systems Engineer by background with expertise in embedded firmware & hardware development, he enjoys building cross-functional teams that excel in the convergence of hardware & software. Prior to the launch of the FL360 camera, he was co-founder of Avian Robotics – a startup developing a swarm of autonomous drones for the purposes of security. In his spare time, he enjoys playing the piano, guitar and snowboarding.
ONUR DEMIRALAY
Senior Software Developer
A fearless self-starter, Onur is a Software Developer who is passionate about every aspect of computer science and software development. While in school, Onur was involved in a few startups where he gained deep insight of entrepreneurship and real-world experience in software development with emphasis on iOS development. Upon graduating Simon Fraser University, he realized he can combine his software wizardry and his love of helping people and joined FirstLook. Onur brings his high standards for code, his passion for software architecture to FirstLook where his work exemplifies robustness and the attention to detail the technical rescue applications demand.
